## Environmental Management Audit Scheme EMAS

Nord Zinc treatments are carried out on an EMAS registered production site, the voluntary European environmental management regulation. Every year the environmental impact data of the plants are measured and published and the commitment to improve their performance is renewed. ## Life Cycle Assesement

The sustainability of a design and construction choice must be verified taking into consideration the entire useful life period of the structure. Comparing different solutions allows you to make the correct choice and thus contribute to sustainability. All Nord Zinc production has been verified and accompanied by an Environmental Product Declaration.

## Environmental Product Declaration

EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) allows you to compare the environmental impact, in an objective and transparent way, of products and services. ## Protocollo LEED

The famous American [Green Building Council](https://gbcitalia.org/) protocol promotes the use of products and services with proven environmental impact. The EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) is one of the product requirements that allows you to obtain scores to achieve the classes of merit assigned to buildings constructed and LEED certified.

## A profitable investment

Spending a little more to apply a treatment capable of ensuring functionality throughout the entire useful life of the structure is an investment with a certain return.
